Terra Cotta is the second business that I have purchased, which was originally
slated to close at the end of 2008. It is a business that I believe has added significantly
to the urban core of Binghamton in terms of service, jobs, and economic development. Instead
of standing by and accepting the reality that this particular business would close, I contacted
the owners and, after a series of meetings and negotiations, was able to broker a deal that secures
the long-term future of the business. In addition, I have also substantially invested to improve and
upgrade facilities and have acquired additional space to expand operations.
